Woke up latish, around 1PM. Somehow lately I’m not able to fall asleep until 5AM and it messes up with my whole daily schedule. It’s in dire need of an urgent change, otherwise I’ll stay unproductive like this for the next month or two. Can’t have that, specially now that I’ve got to fix my stuff before going back to Armenia forever.

In any case, regarding the daily stuff, the last couple of weeks have been advancing at a snail’s pace. Not very productive overall, or at least not as much I would have liked. Doesn’t matter though, better late than never, and instead of beating myself over it might as well just look at it as taking a break from the continuous craziness.

Since I got my company up and running, had to fix a few details here and there. Preparing the website so that I can offer my services right away on both my site and other platforms. Looking good, but gotta push to finish it ASAP so I can actually start making some money. Kinda going broke here. So, yeah, that’s the situation overall.

Regarding friends and stuff, trying to go back to regularly hit the boxing gym again and starting to fast again. In the friends department, we’re hitting it off nicely. Going to old places, new places, new activities, also making some new friends along the way. Doing my stuff, basically.

All in all, making progress. Sometimes slow, sometimes fast. Just gotta get into my groove to hit it off.

Third day here in Madrid, since I arrived on Tuesday morning. Damn, do I LOVE Madrid! Just a few days of work/vacation here isn’t enough! 😁

Good news! I finally got the E-Residency digital ID card in my hands! Went this morning to pick it up from the Estonia’s Embassy here in Madrid. Almost missed the appointment, because I thought the time to go pick it up was at 1PM, when in reality it was at 11:20AM… so, I jumped out of bed, changed into my clothes in front of a female roommate (sorry! 😅) and ran outside to grab a cab. Despite there being a traffic jam right in the city center we still managed to arrive on time.

At the Estonian Embassy I got attended by a female worker. She gave me a paper to sign with my name and handed over the E-Residency kit. It felt soooo good to have it finally in my hands after more than two years of chasing after it! Before I couldn’t get it because I didn’t have my passport in order, so the moment I fixed my passport I made another attempt at requesting it. In less than two weeks they confirmed that I got it and just another 3-4 weeks later I was picking it up.

While making the request I also reapplied to the Xolo.io company to get the company and accounting revved up and ready to invoice some work. 😁

I advanced a couple of things, but not really that much. For the next steps of setting up a company I had to first get the ID. Now I’ve got to wait until tomorrow for the card go into effect. What’s just one more day of waiting? We can do that, no problem.

That’s the E-Residency story. Regarding the rest, business as usual; working from “coffices” I find here and there, wherever there is coffee, good internet, an power plug and nice surroundings. This time I went to Honest Greens on the C/Hortaleza street. Good coffee, plenty of space, good internet.

Midday came and it became very full very fast. My friend Michael joined me for lunch at Honest Greens, and a coffee afterwards in the Malasaña district, which is very similar to the Gracia district of Barcelona; same hipster chill laid-back kind of “barrio”.

Afterwards came back to the hostal to get some more work done, which I’m kinda finishing with these last lines that I’m typing. See ya in the next one. Gotta go get prepared to meet Michael for a couple of drinks and relaxed night out. We’ll party again tomorrow night. Gotta take it easy.

Second Monday of November. Starting the week waking up a bit late, but fired up to get things done, starting with smaller tasks and moving on to bigger ones as the day progresses. I’ll start with the Five Minute Journal.

Watching some videos from my “Watch Later” YouTube playlist, reading some webtoons which come out on Mondays, going through my calendar and tasks lists, reading some news, writing this post and drinking freshly made coffee are things I do to start off the day. Drank the coffee and writing this post as the last warm-up tasks. Regarding the rest, specially reading news, it’s not necessarily a good thing. It can derail the rest of my day easily. As of today I am yet to find my morning ritual to get in the groove more easily and make sure the probabilities of having a productive day go up. That’s a big To-Do in my tasks list. I’ll come back to that later.

This week second week of November feels like a lot is going to happen. I’ll be travelling to Madrid tomorrow morning so I can go to the Estonian Embassy to get my E-Residency Kit, so I can kick of the creation of my online web development agency. I’m sure of it, it’s going to be a very interesting experience. I’d really like to get on Bostjan’s level as quickly as possible. While I was wondering whether it was possible to create an online agency with an online team entirely remote, he actually went and did it, and has been at it for almost 3 years now! Truly an inspiration and an example to follow. I’m lucky I’ve been coming across high-achieiving people like him!

Aside from getting the E-Residency kit I’ll also be having fun there working in new coffices I’ll find, participating in the pub crawls, seeing my friends there, staying at the Generator Hostal, and much more. I wish I had discovered Madrid earlier! Alas, it’ll always remain a vacation destination for me and not a place I’ll live at? We’ll see. Never say never. What’s for sure is that my next 10 years of building my future lies in Armenia. More on that in other posts.

Back to today, gotta get some work done. Gotta get some organizing done. Gotta kick off some important tasks I’ve been procrastinating. See ya guys in the next one.
