Woke up a bit late and with my eye bags somewhat swollen. It usually means I had litlle sleep and the sleep was rough. My father’s woman left for her country yesterday so I went back to sleep in what used to be my room. It might have to do with suddenly switching beds to a more comfier one.

Anyho’, since I switched rooms I had to take care of the room that used to be my office, then became a storage room, and finally became the storage/bedroom where I’ve been sleeping since May 18th. I bought an inflatable bed so it was actually quite comfy, but nothing beats a real proper king size bed. I guess I’ll adapt.

This one’s gonna be short. Gotta go on with the day and try to be as productive as possible.

Woke up feeling tired because I stayed up until 5AM watching Better Call Saul. Almost worth it though 😹

Got lots of stuff on my plates so I wanted to jump right into work, but the lack of sleep started showing it’s effects. I had to lay down for a bit before being able to do anything.

I realized, it has been a long time since I last added a five minute journal. Plenty of stuff have happened since the last post. Most memorable ones being the house party we threw on San Juan with friends who came from all over. It’s good to be surrounded with decent people.

But sometimes you also meet assholes 😹. Like on Yasir’s birthday night at the beach. There was this couple from the US who took notice of me using the word “nigger” while joking around with my friend. We throw “nigga” around most of the time, but this time I wanted to be a bit extra so I went with the hard landing “R”, trying to recreate a guy from a viral video which we shared with eachother on Instagram some time ago.

Goes without saying that these two assholes didn’t like it! 😹😹😹 So they confronted me with it the moment I sat down, specially the Beta male saying that “There is never a valid reason to say the N word, specially not with the ER ending. It can only come from racism”, basically calling me indirectly a racist to my face, so I pressured him into admitting he thinks I’m a “racist” 😹. These kids make me crack up!

I didn’t have to, but I did anyway, indulging them with an explanation, that I’m an First Amendment Absolutist, that they can shove their unsolicited opinion where the sun don’t shine. I called them a libtard and their reasonings dumb, and made sure to repeat the word “Nigger” a couple more times, partly due to me having to be true to my own self without self-censorship and partly due to wanting to “trigger” these snowflakes! 😹

I did get to “trigger” the Beta Male hahaha, and he repeatedly told me to stop saying that word. I got fed up with him telling me what to do so I asked him “or what? you gonna do something about it?” indicating I’m ready to rumble my boy. Ain’t no way of shutting me up unless you blow a strike. And, in the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson; “When you strike at a king, you must kill him”. Of course he didn’t do shyet, because of his Beta Male nature. It’s so sad to be in that state. How can you call yourself a Man if you’re not ready to stand your ground and defend yourself when getting called out? Of course, I wouldn’t be calling him out if he were a decent person with the right morals.

Anyways, long story short, they showed how much of a snowflakes they are and confirmed once more that the newer generations of US citizens are a mob of bullies pushing for the destruction of their own country which, happens to have IMO the best constitution in the world, and the rest of the world.

Other notable events have been going out with my friends to party and a very productive session of coffice work on Tuesday.

Woke up pretty early and after just a few hours of sleep. It’s near impossible to sleep with this heat! Gotta make some money and buy a goddamn air conditioner. 😿

Before getting out of my inflatable bed I went through the next step I had to take right after. In my head I went through each step, and decided on the most efficient order to get the most done in zombie mode. At least the coffee woke me up good. 😹

Got to do some work in the morning before heading off to the city center and meeting a good friend of mine I hadn’t seen in a long time, and right afterwards met up with my mentor with whom we went through some of our projects. We decided to take on a new one, a website related to an marriage fair he’s planning on making come February of next year. We already got it going!

Now at my favorite coffice Oassis Natural Cooking typing up this daily journal entry I’ve been wanting to write for the last three days but always somehow forgot until the last minute of the day. Feels good to get some tasks and clutter out of my head.

Soon gonna head back home and continue working a couple hours more until bedtime.

Woke up feeling less bad than the day before because I’ve inflated my inflatable bed to the maximum. It had gotten a bit deflated since the first use some 4 weeks ago. I miss Alfon’s sofa though. That shyet unexpectedly fixed all my back problems with just one night’s sleep! I’ll repeat for sure soon!

Regarding work, I’ve got some stuff on my plate of course, as I always do. I’ve started inputting all my projects into an organized directory and optimizing my workflows. A bit late, yes, but better late than never. Also, this isn’t something that’s going to be done in a day or two. This might take a couple of weeks, working on the side. But eventually it’ll be done, and the next time I’ve to bootstrap a project it’ll be done in a flash instead of hours.

So yeah, work is going fine, meeting friends is going fine, mom came from Russia on Thursday, some old acquaintances are coming to Barcelona on vacations or for living too, etc. The city is bustling!

Today, Saturday, gonna do some work all the while listening to music, podcasts and my favorite youtube channels, before I eventually go out to the city center in the evening.

Another day, another sunshine in the sunny Badalona.

Had a busy weekend of hanging out with friends and chilling at home. Didn’t do much work-wise, preferred to take it easy instead.

Yesterday, Monday, was a holiday so the week for me starts today instead. I mean, work-wise.

Anyho’, I thought I’d get my broken tooth removed today, but it seems it’ll have to wait. I’ll have to go to a private dentist to get it fixed. Seems like the root being in place could allow for the tooth to be reconstructed.

Another day of feeling regular after a noral night of sleep. Got a steamy coffee and back at the laptop typing away again.

Got a bit of a busy day ahead with work, going shopping and seeing friends. The sooner I get on it, the sooner I’ll be done.

Might as well use this chill day for plannig the next few weeks so as to clarify what I have to do and not brain my brain energy thinking and planning on the spot at every turn. Gotta optimize.

Also, I’d like to think about and start working on the 30-day challenges. One clear challenge will be making sure to write an Five Minute Journal post every single day for 30 days. Another couple of obvious ones would be to train and fast everyday for 30 days. No better time than now to start working on them. But if I announce it then I’ll be held accountable for it. Gotta plan.

After a regular night’s sleep woke up feeling ok and went straight for work. Prepared a hot steamy coffee, sat down my newly cleaned laptop and proceeded to type away.

On wednesday landed a new client so new project is underway. Gotta make some dough, cuz the mortgage ain’t paying itself. This reminds me though, I have to finalize my WebbingApps client portal so I can automatize most of these support tasks I do over and over again. That way I’d be able to look for my clients and service them properly.

During the afternoon break went to the bank for an administrative task and afterwards went to greet my old gym partners at Club Boxa Sant Adrià. Everybody is doing fine as expected, training hard and getting ready for new matches. Hopefully I’ll be able to attend those events in this month or the next.

Afterwards worked until dinner and at night played a bit of Age of Empires 2 to relax and take my mind off from work.

Tuesday morning, gotta continue the good hard work.

Woke up feeling ok, but with a bit of stiffness and pain in my cervicals and shoulders. Had to do a bit of walking around and stretching for it to subside for a little bit so I could spend the entire day sitting and focus on work.

Did a cleanup of the computer and proceeded with planning the agenda for the day. After planning I started setting up the different “virtual desktops” for each different projects and tasks so as to keep things organized and separated. Otherwise I’ll have to maintain a mental picture of which windows goes with what task and project.

Aside from work I also did a little bit of exploring, accounts maintenance, budget estimations and of course, a little bit of gaming to take my mind off from the stress of work. Also, I like to dwelve into a rabbit hole of Wikipedia topics and articles, just as a fun “aside”. There are tons of interesting topics out there waiting to be (re)discovered.

Other than those two things, did some catching up with friends and family. Seems like everybody is coming back to Barcelona, so I’ve got the chance to meet everybody again before going back home to Armenia.

Overall, yesterday was quite a good day. It started out nicely, getting right on the laptop and started working. Later in the afternoon, the optical fibre internet technician came to install the new Jaztell 1Gbps line! Got installed quick because the optical fibre line was already there from a previous company. I got the sweet 1Gbps! 💖

Feels good to finally enjoy these crazy speeds! Hopefully I can get the same in Armenia. One can hope.

At night I had a meetup with my good friend Yasir and co. Met up at Monkey Factory, but we went walking to another meetup because Monkey was empty. At the other place it was way more crowded and with a better atmosphere. At the new place (can’t remember the name) we met with a group of people we knew, so we played some pool, chatted for a bit, had a drink, and afterwards decided to go to the beach.

We bought some snacks and sat on the sands of the Barceloneta beach. All was fine and dandy, listening to some music on Parthik’s speaker he went to get, eating the snacks, joking around and chatting.
